Hiatus

High school really is ending. It's hard to believe but it is. The day that I've been waiting for for the last 4 years is finally so close I can almost taste it and yet, no cigar. It's bittersweet really. The end of an era. An astonishingly wonderful era.

Things are only made more real by the fact that I've realised only today, that I'm fast running out of time to prepare for my final exams and that college applications, which, for a long time, felt a lifetime away, are suddenly about to become overdue. I have some time though. My application isn't due until the end of November, but I'm hoping to complete it by the end of October. I apparently have enough time to compose this short little... nothing, though.

I'm severing all technological connections for a while. That means no facebook, no blogging. I've recently become addicted to twitter though, so you can follow me (@louweasel_) there. My friend Chloe and I also have a joke twitter (@real_llhoe) where we tweet our long time inner fangirl love Harry Styles (of Anglo-Irish boyband One Direction fame).

Until Nov. 3, kisses and all my love xxx

Photoga

(Click)

A friend asked me if I was a wannabe photographer the other day. I replied no, and I stand by that no. That said, Tiantian (who features quite frequently on this blog) and I have been talking about starting a photo blog for quite a while now, so last night we finally stopped being lazy and created our new blog, PHOTOGA.

We like to think of this new blog as a bit of a work in progress that will hopefully blossom during our university years, and also as a blog with a name that could double as a Vietnamese restaurant. If you're still reading, stop. And go visit our very empty new blog. <3

high tea

I love the feeling I get when I stick my SD card into the computer for the first time after a NIGHT/day out and discover all the moments that have been immortalised. Most photos aren't the kind that can be published on this (not a content issue) blog simply because they have bad lighting/too much noise/are too blurry etc etc. Of course, my anticipation doesn't come from the knowledge that I'll be able to upload some -- rather, it's because they do what words just can't.

Anyway, school's out for two weeks and we're meant to be studying hard in preparation for trials (sort of a mock examination block for our actual final exams). Of course, I haven't really been doing anything of the sort. Instead I've been wearing pretty dresses, drinking tea and watching the entire first season of Nikita too quickly.

Tomorrow I'll work.

t-bar

I've been hunting for the perfect pair of T-Bar flats, preferably leather, for about two months now (since before my birthday in April) and I still haven't managed to find a decent pair. I have high hopes though, because I suspect they're soon going to reappear on fashion radars everywhere and once they're in mass production, I can swoop and make a swift, nifty little purchase. Of course, my fashion predictions (if they can even be called that) are never usually based on careful monitoring of trends. I've usually just been dying for something right before it's readily available and then found indescribable amounts of glee in buying that craving. This applies only really to shoes though.

I'm the kind of person who buys too many pairs of shoes, usually unnecessarily, and then wears them only once or twice before sending them into hibernation. When I'm older, I'm going to buy a house that can accommodate a very large shoe wardrobe!

That said however, if you have any idea of where you can get a pair of T-Bar flats, please leave a comment! I'll love you forever.

winter

All of the times I've found myself wanting to take a photo, I've never had my camera with me which is why I've been taking an increasing number photos on my phone. Thankfully, the camera isn't too shabby and so the photos turn our alright - for a phone camera, at least. These are just a few happy snaps which show just how much I've been procrastinating, even though assessments start on Monday.

Also, HAPPY WINTER, everyone! It's finally my favourite season and I'm very excited to start drinking an excessive amount of coffee (I broke my addiction) and wearing too many layers! My ASOS order came in yesterday, just in time too! I now have a gorgeous new pair of Hudson boots and a fantastically warm wool hat. Here's to hoping you embrace the season!
